The Story

Despite these setbacks, Peppe continues to work as the town’s lamplighter and eventually saves his younger sister, who was missing in the darkness. Ultimately, he makes his father proud and he is able to find a job that will be beneficial to his family. The story is a heartwarming story of a young boy that worked to make his father proud, and it shows how hard the immigrants had to work when they were trying to create a better life for themselves.
