The gods of Olympus are dark web links helping the son of Hades get out of the Underworld in Supergiant Games’ action-roguelike. Each weapon in the game can have four different aspects that alter its perks.

Some are obvious—the Deadalus hammer’s Aspect of Artemis gives it homing arrows when you powershot. But others require a bit of detective work.
Aspect of Hera

Hades, the Greek mythology-themed roguelike from Supergiant Games, landed in early access two years ago and finally saw full release in late 2020 to critical acclaim. In addition to the standard six weapons that players can unlock, each of the game’s Infernal Arms also have a Hidden Aspect that completely overhauls their play style and weapon-handling. These aspects are hard to come by, but the ones that do surface are powerful.

Hera is the wife of Zeus and the patron goddess of marriage, family, and women. She was often depicted as a jealous and vengeful goddess due to her husband’s many infidelities with other gods, mortal women, and even his own children. However, Hera was much more complex than this simple portrayal, as she was a powerful and independent goddess that ruled over marriage, family, and women’s welfare. Her anger at Zeus’ infidelities was not solely fueled by jealousy but also a reaction to his betrayal and destabilization of their sacred union.

Aside from her many domestic duties, Hera was a goddess of marriage, love, and childbirth. She is represented as a beautiful, strong matron with a majestic and severe appearance. Her sacred animal was the cow and her sacred bird was first the cuckoo and later the peacock.

During Hera’s courtship with Zeus she refused him on several occasions. To win her over he tricked her into marrying him by disguising himself as a wounded cuckoo bird. When she rescued the cuckoo, Hephaestus was born, who was a deformed and ugly son. Hephaestus grew up to become the god of fire and metalworking, which embarrassed Hera.

This aspect can be unlocked by talking to Nyx when you’re at the house of Hades. You’ll need to keep talking to her until she mentions the aspect. From there, you can go back to Skelly’s room, equip the spear, and interact with it to reveal the hidden aspect. The aspect increases the damage dealt by the spear and decreases the amount of time it takes to recharge it. Additionally, the aspect allows the player to throw the spear in a spinning attack that deals extra damage.
Aspect of Chiron

Every weapon in Supergiant Games' smash hit Hades has a hidden Aspect that can unlock variants of its base features. These are essentially upgrades that can add new abilities and boost damage output. Players can access these in Skelly's chamber, right before each run, by forking over some hard-earned Titan Blood. While a few of these are visible from the start, others require some detective work to uncover. These Weapon Aspects have connections to heroes and known historical figures, which makes them all the more interesting.

Venus-Chiron aspects often bring pain and wounds to romantic relationships, as well as self-esteem issues. People with these tend to feel like they always have to prove themselves in their close relationships, and can be quite self-critical. They may have a very strong sense of empathy and can be very helpful to those around them, offering insightful advice about personal growth and emotional healing.

Chiron-Venus transits can bring healing abilities, but also a tendency to over-do things for the people in their lives. They can also become very good at boosting the confidence of others, but neglect to do so for themselves. As a result, they can end up feeling devastated when their efforts are not appreciated.

During the story of the battle between Gods and Titans, Chiron was forced to surrender his immortality by Zeus after being condemned to spend eternity tied to a rock while a griffon pecked at his liver. This was because he refused to kill the Titans when they were attacking humans, and thus was not considered worthy of immortality.

In astrology, the planet Chiron is associated with wounded egos and a difficulty in being oneself. People with this aspect tend to have problems with self-esteem and love, often caused by childhood traumas and disappointments. They are usually very sensitive and can be easily pushed to tears by criticism or rejection.

Unlocking the Aspect of Chiron for Zag's two-pronged spear involves a little more detective work than for most weapons. This Aspect requires the player to complete three arcs in the story of the battle between Gods and titans, as well as finishing the Fated List of Minor Prophecies and reaching the final boss. Once the player has accomplished these tasks, they must approach the Infernal Arms in the House of Hades and equip them to reveal the Aspect. Its base bonus makes their special attack home-in on the last enemy hit by a regular attack, while each level up increases how many shots are fired with the attack.
Aspect of Arthur

Hades, the Greek mythology-themed action roguelike from Supergiant Games, is a fun and challenging game that can be played in many different ways. The game's six infernal arms each have multiple hidden aspects, which alter the weapon's functionality and provide players with unique builds and playstyles. Each aspect also has a set of perks that it can unlock, which makes them even more effective and exciting to use.

The first of the hidden aspects that you'll want to unlock is Aspect of Guan Yu for the spear. Once you've unlocked this aspect, it will unlock the Aspect of Varatha, which is one of the best weapons in the game. After that, you should focus on spending the rest of your Titan Blood on other aspects that will benefit your build.

Aspect of Hera is a good choice for the bow because it increases your chance to get a critical hit. This can be a huge difference in how much damage you deal to enemies. The Aspect of Chiron is another great option for the bow because it makes your special attack automatically seek out the enemy that last hit you. This can make it very easy to rack up a lot of damage during a run.

This is one of the more unique aspects because it unlocks a buff that increases your defense while attacking. Whenever you hit an enemy with your special, it will mark the area as "Hallowed Ground." This buff lasts for eight seconds and disables traps and slows enemies' projectiles. This is a very helpful way to increase your defense while still dealing lots of damage.

Once you've unlocked all of the above Aspects, it's time to unlock the final hidden aspect for the sword, Aspect of Arthur. To do this, talk to Nyx at her usual spot in the house of Hades after you've spent five Titan Blood on other aspects. She will then give you the waking phrase, which is "I see your kingly pardon from a prison of stone." This is a reference to King Arthur pulling Excalibur out of the stone and assuming his place as ruler.
Aspect of Zag

The indie roguelike smash hit Hades has a lot going for it, from its expansive cast of gods and monsters to its deep range of weapon upgrades, trinkets and boons. But all that choice can make the experience a little overwhelming, especially when it comes to finding good builds. Fortunately, Supergiant Games has a system for players to create unique builds using the weapon aspects they unlock and their own selection of boons and keepsakes.

The first three weapons a player gets are the Stygian Blade, Varatha and Hestia Rail, all of which can be improved by unlocking additional weapon aspects. Each of these weapon aspects can be leveled up individually at the cost of Titan Blood, but only one can be unlocked per run. The fourth hidden aspect, the Aspect of Zag, isn't unlocked until much later in the game, but it can be a great addition to any build.

Zag is a fast spear that relies on speed to keep enemies at a distance and slow them down, but it can also unleash the Aspect of Rama when equipped. This perks up Zagreus' Special to fire bouncing darts that apply the Shared Suffering debuff on enemies, which means any enemy that is affected takes 60% of the damage dealt by Zag's attack. This perks up very quickly and makes the Aspect of Zag extremely dangerous.

This is also a great Aspect to pair with the Goddess of the Sun buff, which grants Zagreus an extra 5% health on every attack. And it synergizes well with a variety of Daedalus Hammer Upgrades like Spread Fire, Explosive Fire and Ricochet Fire, giving Zagreus a ton of survivability.

The Aspect of Guan Yu isn't an easy Aspect to get, though it is a very strong one once it is. The main drawback is that it cuts the amount of health that Zagreus can heal throughout the run by -50%. However, it is a good option for a high-damage, low-health build that can take advantage of the Aspect's ability to redice enemy health with its alternate attacks.
